Harold was born in Adams county, Ohio.
Harold picked up a fiddle at about ten years of age and he hasn't put it down since.
Having spent time playing in several bands over the years Harold has become an accomplished fiddler.
In the sixtys Harold played with the VALLEY RAMBLERS
Later he went on to spend several years playing with the DIXIE RYDERS.
The BADLANDERS was formed by Harold some time later and they played successfully for several years.
Harold took a year or so break between bands to coach his son Brian to become a champion clogger.

Harold is one of the original members of
FRIENDS IN BLUEGRASS.
